Art is hot!

For many of us, the Canadian art market is a mysterious creature. But for those of us in the know, it’s a business that is growing rapidly as more and more works become available for auction. Val Ross’s article in yesterday’s Globe and Mail talks about this growing market in Canada and its recent inclusion of “many little-known works” by some “top-end artists.” Ross also features a quote from our very own Alan Bryce, author of Art Smart: The Intelligent Guide to Investing in the Canadian Art Market, who offers up his forecast on how Canadian artist will fare in this upcoming auction season.
