Jen, a blogger at Canuck Librarian has just recently posted a review of Patricia Bow’s first novel of The Mythrin Series, The Ruby Kingdom. Funny thing that she had to fend off her pet rats from using the book as a chew toy! Hmm… Ruby Kingdom … chewy? I’m trying to imagine that…

According to Jen, the book gets a “rent the video” rating from her creative rating scheme. What does that mean? The Ruby Kingdom should be available at your local bookstore and library (if they don’t, ask for it!) so you should definitely take a peak at the book if you haven’t already — The Prism Blade is coming soon!

I’m sure the ratties just found the book too irresistible – couldn’t keep their paws off it!
I don’t think I like my ‘creative rating scheme’ – just so hard to explain what I like, what I really like, and what blows my mind.
I’ll be on the lookout for the Prism Blade! (and I’ll keep the rat away.)
