Granite – A Cozy Fall Read

GraniteAlthough it’s still warm and sunny, the calender and the weather forecasters are telling me that Fall is right around the corner. As with movies and food our tastes change with the weather from blockbusters, beach reads, and grilled summer eats to historical and family dramas, literary fiction, and comforting casseroles and pasta. Granite, a literary fiction novel with a pinch of mystery thrown into the mix, kicks off Dundurn’s fall fiction offerings and is the type of book that you can really immerse yourself in. Perfect for those upcoming blustering evenings and weekends when you don’t want to leave the comfort of your home. Granite has already found a fan in Bonnie Malleck of the Waterloo Region Record. Here’s a portion of her review.

“… a meticulously detailed page-turner … Mestern’s writing is warm and cozy, her phrasing sweetly old-fashioned. Granite, a cup of tea and comfy chair make perfect companions for a lazy afternoon.”

So plug in that keetle, pour yourself a cup of tea, and curl up with Granite.
