It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, but have been busy the last handful of months working as an assistant on editing and updating the database for the online transition of the Canadian Book Review Annual (a recent acquisition and welcome addition to the Dundurn family tree) and launching CBRAOnline. A much revered publication since 1975, CBRA has fulfilled its objective of showcasing the abundance of books Canada publishes each year. Among the review contributors librarians, teachers, academics, authors, and other professionals nationwide. Having an interest in the many facets of editing, working on the project has been an exciting undertaking.
Along with that, busy at work I have been in getting books in from publishers across the country. Along with our longtime contributors to the project, we have some new participants on board as well. The response thus far has been fantastic, and we have been most grateful for the hard work of the staff with assisting us in the successful progress of CBRA.
There has been much anticipation in the way of the launch of the site. The orders are coming in and we are looking forward to the response. Stay tuned.
I'm left-handed, monolingual, a bibliophile, an avid walker, a cat person, a caffeine addict, & quite possibly I enjoy irony & cookies a little too much.
